Training 2026

RYA Junior and Adult ‘Learn to Sail’ returns to MS&CC in 2026. We plan to run RYA dinghy training courses at the Club in a similar format to last year, that is in 2 courses of 6 evening sessions each on Mondays (under 16) and 2 courses on Wednesdays (generally adults), starting on Monday 20 April. The first sessions will be:

Monday evenings 20 April to 25 May – 18.00 to 20.30 for junior students (age 10 to 16).

Wednesday evenings 22 April to 27 May – 18.00 to 20.30 for adults.

The second sessions will be from:

Monday evenings 8 June to 20 July – 18.00 to 20.30 for junior students (age 10 to 16).

Wednesday evenings 10 June to 22 July – 18.00 to 20.30 for adults.

The sessions will be run off the beach in front of the club using the RYA syllabuses for Levels or Stages 1 to 4 plus racing, spinnaker and trapeze training for those seeking to advance their skills and experience.

Junior Courses are £150 for non-members and £125 for members for each 6 week block.

Adult Courses are £200 for non-members for each 6 week block or £150 for members. These can be paid for via the ‘MS&CC Store’ tab on this website.

In addition to the above dates we will also be running weekend courses on the following dates. These are for trainees who are unable to commit to a six week run of dates.
