{"id":1174,"date":"2013-03-12T21:42:47","date_gmt":"2013-03-12T21:42:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.msandcc.org\/?page_id=1174"},"modified":"2026-02-11T20:16:02","modified_gmt":"2026-02-11T20:16:02","slug":"rya-powerboat-courses","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.msandcc.org\/?page_id=1174","title":{"rendered":"RYA Powerboat Courses 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Level 2 &#8211; NATIONAL POWER BOAT COURSE<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Be competent &#8211; learn the essentials to be a skilled powerboat driver (also the basis of the International Certificate of Competence: power up to 10m).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>SAFETY BOAT COURSE<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Provides the skills required when acting as an escort craft, safety boat or coach boat for a fleet of dinghies, windsurfers or canoes, or for racing or training activities. &nbsp;Level 2 is required before you can take this course.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rya.org.uk\/training\/powerboat\">RYA Website &#8211; Powerboats<\/a>&nbsp;for further information.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re interested in taking a course please contact Martin Jackson, our Powerboat Training Officer, who will arrange a date with you, though this will of course be weather and tide dependent:<\/p>\n<p>Maximum number of 3 people per course. Minimum age 16 unless otherwise agreed. No previous experience required to take Level 2. Course\u2019s start at 1000 at the MS&amp;CC Clubhouse and finish on or around 1700. Cost per person is \u00a3320 for non-members and \u00a3275 for club members.
