First Regatta on the sea for 2022, last year this event was delayed because of ‘Lockdown 3.0’ so it was held on its traditional Easter Saturday, the day started out promising enough with a steady 10 – 12 knot SE breeze but as is the way of the weather this changed just before the start, with the wind now lighter and from the south, the course was reset the fleet got underway then the test began, the wind lightened and changed direction many times but Ralph Kee came through to take to win with Teddy Dunn second and Andrew Dean third.Race two over a shorter slightly altered course also looked promising until the start hooter becoming a repeat of race one with very trying conditions Ralph Kee once again made the most of it win his second win, Teddy in second and James Bishop third.Race three was doubtful but the wind filled with a slight chill in the air so it was started in the hope if would hold which it sort of did, sadly for Ralph his two point lead over Teddy going in to this race evaporated when he posted a fourth with Teddy taking the win, Angus Jolly took second spot and Jerry Colman Third, this meant Teddy Dunn emerged as the series winner with Ralph second and Angus Jolly third. https://www.halsail.com/Result/Public/61398Big thank you to patrol/course laying crews and the ladies for the Regatta Tea.The prize giving also included Trophies for the Injebreck Winter Series hence the reason Teddy has three in front of him taking two from the winter, Peter Cope, Simon Pressly and Ralph won one apiece.
