The latest RYA navigation course has just been completed with seven candidates successfully completing the Day Skipper Course.  The course covers all the disciplines of navigation, including chartwork, meteorology, collision regulations, ropework, passage planning, pilotage and the use of electronic navigation aids.  It was held over 6 consecutive Saturdays with 12 marked assessments in addition to the 2 exams at the conclusion of the course.  All the candidates passed the course, one receiving “Highly Commended” and one receiving “Commended”.

There have been two recent Short-Range VHF courses (arranged by request) and the next scheduled navigation course will be the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Shorebased course next winter.
