Bourne Plaice Winter Series – 14 February 2016

A bit chilly but a bright and sunny morning with a moderate Nor’easter greeted all on their way to Injebreck on Sunday for the latest round of the Bourne Plaice February Series. As we climbed towards Brandywell temperatures dropped away falling below zero on the Beinn-y-Phott road. At the top of Druidale it reached -0.5 making us wonder if we would be able to ride the ice rinks over the top to Injebreck and then, after mastering that, break the ice on the reservoir and melt it off the sheets by one or other of the time-honoured methods.
