Bourne Plaice Winter Series – 26 November 2017
A sunny morning to soothe any hangovers from the night before!
Sunday morning saw the final races of the November Series of the Bourne Plaice Winter dinghy racing on Baldwin reservoir. Despite many of the competitors being a little jaded after the MS&CC Prizegiving the previous evening there was a great turnout of 14 boats.
With the Baldwin reservoir running north/south there was quite a lot of shelter from the strong westerly winds forecast, resulting in wind blowing mostly up the valley with the usual spicy gusts, massive wind shifts and dangerous calms, particularly at the top end of the lake.
